The table is the type of piece that would've been used in 18th century as an altar or for displaying objects in the home. It is a masterfully carved piece, with a top made from one solid piece of elm, and also with solid plank legs. The table has a beautiful patina that has developed over many decades of use, and the texture of the elm grain is very appealing. It is also very rare to see Chinese tables with a single piece top - a manufacturing technique that almost totally died out during the 19th century. The table measures 70 inches long by 34 inches tall by 12 inches deep (177.8 cm by 86.36 cm by 30.48 cm). This includes custom crating and packaging.
